Bear Bento

LT is well and back in School today, he reminded me to make him a box for School, and so his wish is granted. :P I made bread balls bears today for their boxes, they look kind of like mixed up bears with their coloured ears, lol. It's been a rough week and I'm really glad it's Friday. :)


Bento for IT, in the box are fish floss bread balls, cheesy chicken, broccoli, strawberries and blueberries.

Piggy Rolling in Mud Bento

LT did not go to School today, he had no more fever since early this morning, but he insisted he should stay at home, so I just let him be.:) He loves tagging along with me as I run my errands these two days. Reminds me of the time when he was much younger and goes around with me every day while IT was at School. :)


Bento for IT, in the box are baked pasta, strawberries and grapes. Oops, I overbaked the cheese again. -_- I've this bad habit of not timing and will forget about the food in the oven. -_-

Pluto Bento

LT just caught our fever bug. :( He's been feeling warm, with a higher than normal temperature since yesterday, so I kept him with me today. And his temperature just went over the normal range, so I fed him some medicine and he's sleeping now. Hiaz. But he's actually very happy that he does not have to go to School and can stay at home. Hopefully the fever cycle won't last for too many days.

As mentioned yesterday, I did Pluto for today, the cuties version again. I still made bentos for LT, coz I already prepared the decor last night, and he still needed to eat anyway.

Tigger Bento

I made Tigger for their bentos today, the cuties version though. Inspiration came from their water bottles. They both have the Disney cuties characters on their water bottles, Tigger for IT and Mickey for LT. I love the rest of the cuties, should be doing Pluto for tomorrow, and the rest of the cuties will follow in the following weeks. :P


Bento for IT, in the box are multi-grained rice, beef/spinach, fish floss, fish fillet, golden kiwis, kiwi berry and strawberries. This box is quite deep, so I've packed it differently from my usual. The beef/spinach and fish floss are sandwiched between the rice.


Bento for LT, same food as above. This Tigger's ears are incomplete. The main contractor for my estate came knocking while I was almost done with the bento and I totally forgot about the ears after he left. :P

Wall. E Bento

It was quite a bad weekend for us. IT was down with fever on Friday night. He recovered on Sunday morning, but I caught his virus and fell sick yesterday. I'm much better now, after the medication and rest. Hiaz, now I hope LT won't catch the bug.

I did Wall. E for their bentos today, decor done with ham, cheese and nori.


IT's bento, in the box are multi-grained rice, meatballs, pork roll, quail egg and golden kiwi. Finally saw golden kiwis in the supermarket, the boys had been asking for them.

My Melody Bento

I tried chocolate painting for the first time, been wanting to do this since quite long ago. My outline was pretty uneven though, I guess I need steadier hands, lol. :) The boys loved the chocolate though, they said my drawing is very nice (it was actually traced. -_-) and the chocolate tasted yummy.

Chocolate paiting was quite fun, rather fuss free coz I had the coloured bottles of chocolate, just need to dip them in hot water to melt the chololate. :)

Mashed Potato Piggy Bento

I made piggies out of mashed potatoes today. They were coloured with red beet colouring, love the pretty pink colour. :) The previous time I moulded bears out of mashed potatoes, the ones for lunch at home lasted fine. But the one for IT's recess was all messed up. So, this time, I hope the piggy can last till recess.

Here's how I pack for IT's recess, I used 2 airtight containers, the smaller one contains frozen somen sauce.


Thai basil chicken, egg, and broccoli for my lunch.

Penguin Bento

I made Penguins for their bentos today. The one for home was made with rice and seawed. And the one for School was made with charcoal bread and cheese. I do not have a penguin cutter, so I used 2 different sizes oval cutters and a leaf cutter to cut out the bread instead. :)

No box for LT to bring to School today. The fussy boy insists that the charcoal bread does not taste good, even though it taste just like normal bread. -_- So, I did not bother to make him a box.

Woody Woodpecker Bento

We took a family photo with Woody Woodpecker at Universal Studios, so I decided to make him for today. The boys know nothing about this Woodpecker, except his name. I guess he's more from my generation, I remembered watching his cartoon when I was little, lol. :)

I tried out the natural colour powder I ordered online. The colours were more intense last nite, it faded to a ligher shade this morning. And the red and blue were actually shades of purple. Overall, I'm quite happy with it. :) I bought gel colours as well, will test that out next week. :)
