Pooh and Piglet Bento

It's Friday again, will be off to the Japanese supermarket tomorrow to search for ume somen and to see whether I can spot any goodies to use for my bentos. I made simple Pooh and Piglet bentos today. Pooh is made out of smoked cheese, which is a darker color than the usual sliced cheese. And Piglet is made from fish sausage. :)

Bento for LT, same food as above. Oops, I realized Piglet's nose is the wrong side up, I should have checked his picture before fixing him. Hiaz. :(

  1. Aha! Nice one! I always wanted to make pooh and piglet bento but I do not have the cutter to make one. But you inspired me with using cheese or sausages! Good idea! :)

  3. Love how u create Pooh bear without the need of the character mould. May I know where k I purchase multi-grain rice? Do I cook juz like normal Thai rice? Seasoning needed? Emily

    1. Tks a lot, Emily. :) I got them fr NTUC n I mixed them up myself. I mix one packet of their housebrand healthy rice(which is white/red/brown) to 3 small packets of 五谷米. It's a Taiwanese brand. If u can't find, let me know, can email u the pics. :)

    2. Tks Ming. Will try to find the rice. I simply missed the mixed grain rice in Tokyo, didn't manage to find similar one in SG yet. Emily

  4. Ming, this is super cute:) Pooh is N's first favorite bear and he still hugs him to sleep daily. Piglet is adorable. We are Winnie The Pooh Fans! If I show him this, he will sure ask me to make it for him. Have a great weekend!

  5. Hello !! I think these bentos are very simple, yet beautiful ! Pooh and Piglet are so cute, they do not seem too hard to realize, which makes them even nicer :). I love Pooh's look ! Do your kids re-heat their bento and make the cheese melt on the rice ? Or do they eat it cold ?

  6. Tks a lot, Kelyrin. Yes, they are quite easy to do. :) Nope, I dun reheat coz the boys dun like their fd hot. If I reheat, they'll just wait 4 it to cool down before eating. So bentos are really suitable 4 them. :)
