Pikachu Pasta & Omurice

School started again yesterday. IT came back today and told me he will be going to watch the National Day rehearsal next week. So excited for him, it's going to be so fun. I've been balloting for tickets for the past few years but no luck so far. :( This year's parade is going to be awesome since it's our Golden Jubilee, and I'm sure the goodie bag will extra special too. Argh, I want to go too. -_-

It's been a long time since I last made Pikachu. You can click here to see my previous Pikachu bentos.

This time, I made Pikachu out of a meat patty, covered with cheese. I used yellow bell pepper for the ears and arms. The other details were done using nori, ham and mayonnaise.

I arranged the pasta sauce on top and the pasta on the bottom to make it look like a Pokeball.

And here's another Pikachu food art. I've not been making charabens lately, as it's much faster to just display the food on plates instead.

This is Omurice, omelette wrapped around chicken ketchup fried rice, an easy one dish meal for lunch.

I've not made any other Pokemon characters because Pikachu is actually the only Pokemon character I know. I've seen photos of a few others but I've no idea of what they are called, lol. -_-

Minions 2015 Food Art

So happy the Minions are back again, and with their very own movie this time, lol. I made quite a few Minions bentos previously. I love making them so much that I had to restrain myself from making more. You can check out my previous creations here.

To start off, here's my first Minion food art of Stuart, Kevin and Bob, inspired by the movie poster.

IMG_3769
The side dishes were teriyaki chicken tofu patties, tamagoyaki and shimeji mushrooms stir-fried with asparagus.

IMG_3772
The Minions were made from rice coloured with mashed egg yolk, cheese and nori. The sign Minion Kevin is holding onto was actually a toasted wrap and I wrote on it using a black food marker.

IMG_4390
There are so many different outfits for the Minions in this movie and I think this one is one of my favourite. So hilarious, especially the one with the starfish, lol.

IMG_4409
The side dishes for this were grilled salmon and broccoli stir-fried with mushrooms.

The Minions were made from rice coloured with egg yolk, cucumbers, cheese, nori and coriander. Can you spot the banana one of the Minion is holding onto? The mini banana was made form rice and egg sheet. The speech bubble is actually a food pick but the words were added on digitally.

You will probably be seeing more Minions creations from me, have so many ideas, but I'm a little lazy to make them now as it's almost the end of school holidays. Maybe I'll be more hardworking next week when school starts.

Monster Inc Mike Wazowski

Happy Hump Day! I can't believe school holiday is ending soon. I've not been making much food art this holiday, I do however have a whole lot of creations I've yet to blog, but I don't have the motivation to update the blog that often these days.

Birthday Sushi Cake

Sorry, not much updates because I've been spending whatever free time I have reading Harry Potter, lol. Finally started on the series, after putting off for years. The books are really quite captivating, I keep asking IT about the characters and spoilers in the book.

Pumpkin Gudetama

School holidays started for LT last Friday. Yes, only for LT, because IT still has to go back to school next week, they still have supplementary classes for the first week, and school hours are only an hour shorter than the usual school hours. -_-
