Birthday Bento

It was LT's sixth birthday on Monday. Time flies so fast it's scary at times, it seemed like only yesterday he was still a newborn in my arms. Next year, he will be joining IT in primary School. He is still very much our baby, and still enjoys being so, lol.

I decided to make something simple this time, I layered sushi rice with smoked salmon and egg to make a sushi cake. :)

I decorated the top layer with tobiko, smoked salmon and a mashed potato piggy. LT is born in the year of the pig, so I can't resist making a piggy on his birthday.

The birthday boy showing you the layers for his cake. It's much faster and easier to make than my past birthday bentos creations, I think I will just make variations of this for their birthday next time.

LT requested for the usual strawberry shortcake for his birthday. He chose this One Piece design for the icing sheet.

I baked these chocolate ganache cuppies for his friends in School. LT chose Spiderman toppers for the boys and Hello Kitty toppers for the gals and his teachers. :)
