Octopus Sushi

The octopus sushi I'm sharing today, was modified by a similar decor sushi I saw on Pinterest.

The pink rice was coloured using a sushi vinegar seasoning. The seasoning will turn the rice pink.

Served the sushi for lunch with pan fried gyozas and lettuce. The boys had more gyozas and sushi than what is shown in the photo, they have a much bigger appetite than that.

A closer look at the octopus sushi. I should have made some sausage octopus as well.

  5. These look great, clever use of the octopus.
I didn't know that there is sushi vinegar that colours the rice. Would you mind sharing the name of the brand/bottle, so I could see if I can find it or something similar here in the UK?

Once again, looks great, like the clever use of the octopus.

    1. Ur comment needs my approval before they appear on the blog. :) The brand is mizkan, it's in powder form in a packet n has a pink piggy in front. Over here, they put it with the deco furi used to colour the rice. It works the same way, just that it taste sourish instead of salty like deco furi.
