Dog Bento

I was very busy yesterday, had a little time just before we went to bed, turned on my notebook but the internet connection was so slow, the photos won't upload. Lol, so I went off to bed instead. :P

Bentos today were done on Monday. I was sick that day and just wanted to cook them a simple lunch, but I ended up making them a simple charaben instead. -_-

Doggy is made from rice, nori and ham.

The other food in the box are teriyaki meatballs, broccoli and strawberries. Meatballs are from my bento stash in the freezer, all I had to do was to glaze them in teriyaki sauce.

In the evening that day, I was feeling a lot better, so I made them a similar version of the doggy, using bread.

I also packed in some grapes.

This dinner bento was my first meal that day, no appetite for anything earlier. There's rice, prawn omelette, basil pork and capsicum. :)

White Rabbit & Cheshire Cat Bento

It's Lewis Carroll on the 27th of January, I was planning to do an Alice in Wonderland themed lunch yesterday to join in the linky at Bent on Better Lunches. I woke up sick, so I just did a simple charaben yesterday. I'm feeling a lot better today, so I did up the bentos I had planned to do yesterday. :)

White rabbit bentos for my boys' lunch. White rabbit is made from rice, nori, ham, cheese and crabstick. Teacups are made from sausages, clock is made from cheese and nori, and poker card is made from cheese and red decor gel.

The box is also packed with seaweed chicken, broccoli, grapes and strawberries.

I had some purple bread in the freezer, so I made a Cheshire cat sandwich for their snacks. Idea for this came from Cheshire cat cupcakes I saw online. :P Cat is made from bread, nori and cheese.

And an Alice in Wonderland themed lunch for me too. :) My bento is packed with rice, seaweed chicken and greens.

Fork & Spoon Yakisoba Bento

I did not do up a blog post yesterday because I was sick. :( Other than fetching and sending my boys to School, cooking lunch and dinner, I was practically sleeping on the bed the whole day, hidden under my blanket. :P It's a relief that my boys were able to go around their daily routine fairly independently, popping in to check on me once in a while, lol. :)

This was done last Thursday. I had this set of fork and spoon cutter for a long time, but never used them before. -_- Lol, yah, I do tend to hoard stuff, I guess I need to spend some time to dig out my cutters and use them for my bentos.

For lunch, they had yakisoba stir-fried with pork, broccoli, strawberries and fries.

I packed some yakisoba-pan for myself. Lol, this is one very weird combination the Japanese came up with, but it does taste quite nice.
