Panda & Cat on Soup

I did some fast decor on soup last week, with the help of CuteZcute. Cutters are really useful if you want to add some decor on your food fast. I am also sharing an easy carrot soup recipe at the end of the post. :)

I cut out the wrap and toasted it, before placing it on soup.

The cat and fish are toasted bread. :) These are easy and fast to make, food art isn't always time consuming. :)

CARROT SOUP

Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
1 onion, minced
4 cups chicken broth
6 large carrots, peeled and sliced
1 cup whipping cream
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Method:
  1. Melt the butter in a soup pot over medium heat, add in onions and cook till limp.
  2. Add broth and carrots.
  3. Cover and bring to boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer till carrots are soft.
  5. Working in small batches, pour soup into blender and puree till smooth.
  6. Return to the pan and add in whipping cream, stir over high heat.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper.

  8. I would loveee to try this recipe, but may I know if there any tasty substitution for whipping cream ?, to include that I may not using chicken stock too. I am afraid the soup will be too plainnn.

    Thank you so much bentomonsters,
